Ruby

Two color varieties of Corundum are used to make Jewelry, the Red Ruby and Sapphire which comprises of all other colors. Common corundum ;i.e., those are not gemstone quality, serve as cutting and polishing material. The well known polishing material emery is mainly fine grain corundum, to which magnetite, hematite, and quartz are added. The name corundum has the origin in India and referred to be Ruby
